Specified All Risk insurance is for items such as jewellery, sports equipment, firearms, spectacles, laptop computers, cell phones, bicycles, musical instruments, photographic equipment and other items that are typically taken out of the house, but which have an individual value in excess of R5,000. These items must be specified in your policy and require proof of purchase and/or a valuation certificate. As the insured, it is your responsibility to adjust the insured value of the item(s).
